Year 6 pupils took part in a Religious Studies lesson focused on Jewish traditions, with particular attention given to the significance of Bar and Bat Mitzvah. The session supported pupils’ understanding of religious practices and beliefs studied as part of the curriculum.
As part of the lesson, pupils examined the Torah and learned about its role in Jewish worship. They also had the opportunity to see and try on prayer shawls, helping to support learning through direct engagement.
Lessons such as this contribute to pupils’ wider understanding of different faiths and cultures and support the development of respectful attitudes and informed discussion.
