Our Year 2 pupils took us on a remarkable journey across Africa in their themed assembly. Presented as their own Newsround report, the performance transported the audience across the savannah, introduced a wonderful array of animals and even included a breaking news segment about a cheetah on the loose.
The children impressed with an A-Z of African facts, expressive poetry and a lively performance of a traditional African song.
It was a joyful celebration of learning that brought together geography, music, art and storytelling. A fitting conclusion to an exciting half term of exploration and discovery.
