Work Hard

Recognising Academic Excellence

We aim to stimulate intellectual curiosity and encourage our students to embrace challenge. We do this by leading innovation in learning and we invest in working with educational experts to keep our professional knowledge up-to-date. The curriculum has been grounded in the latest available evidence about how pupils learn and it focuses, in particular, on building stretch for every individual learner, no matter their start point. We are very proud to be a NACE (National Association for Able Children in Education) Hub. We have been accredited three times with this prestigious award which recognises schools which lead the way in high-quality provision for more able learners. We are one of only 100 schools in the country to have been reaccredited

Challenge For All

At Holme Grange we talk about “challenge” a lot. Challenge is a facet of each child’s educational experience and is embedded as a whole-school culture. We want both pupils and staff to strive for greater things; we see ourselves as a learning community. At Holme Grange we will foster within your child a passion for learning and provide them with opportunities to realise their potential. Our individual challenge plans are written with the pupils, we discuss what targets they would like to have, which areas they would like to focus on and then develop really SMART targets to guide them in their learning. Holme Grange offers students a supportive environment where they feel challenged enough to grow, yet confident enough to try new approaches.

The quality of the pupils' achievements is excellent.
