Year 5 should have been in Aylmerton for a full week of challenges and personal growth. This is always a popular trip and the children had been talking about it all year. Therefore when lockdown meant it had to be cancelled everyone was disappointed, including the teachers!
However they came up with the genius idea of re-creating the experiences – virtually! They looked at all the key skills and experiences that the children got so much from and looked at how they could recreate it. Over the week Ms Poland put together a series of videos encouraging the children to join in and and get involved.
All lessons online were connected to the trip and although it could never be as good as the real thing we all managed to have a good time.
