On Monday the 6th March our U13 and U11/10 girls went to Wellington College to play in the London West ISA Hockey Tournament. They girls played in a round robin format whereby they competed against 4 other schools in their group. Being a round robin tournament the aim is to win as many games as possible to place you at the top of your group. Our U13s played some exceptional hockey and won 3 games convincingly against Kew House, Ibstock Place and Radnor House. The girls hardest opponents were Claires Court, our girls had a number of chances but the CC keeper was exceptional and saved everyone. The game ended 0-0. As a result, the end result went down to goal difference with Claires Court coming runners up scoring 9 goals in total and Holme Grange winning with 13 goals overall.
We entered two teams into the U11 tournament and they played against LVS, The Study and Claires Court. Both teams did exceptionally well and showed some fantastic displays of hockey. Our U11a team won all of their games scoring a total of 24 goals in 4 games. Our U11b won one, drew one and lost 2 games. It was a great day all round with the U11b team coming third and the U11a coming first in the competition. In addition to this success, Molly E was awarded the U11 player of the tournament, selected by Scotland Goal keeper Amy Gibson. Congratulations and Well done to all girls involved!
