This week, the Prep School held its annual House Spelling Bee, bringing together talented young spellers from across the year groups. Sixteen pupils took part, each having qualified by winning their year group heats before Easter.
Contestants faced a series of challenging words matched to their age group, with a winner crowned in each year. The competition was a true test of vocabulary, memory and composure.
The audience was full of encouragement, applauding every correct spelling and showing great kindness to those who were knocked out. It takes real confidence to spell out loud in front of an audience, and all pupils rose to the challenge with determination and courage.
