The Prep School is a vibrant and enriching environment where we want every pupil to access what they need to thrive and flourish, or as we say, ‘to be their best selves.’ We strive to nurture curiosity and make pupils’ first steps into education inspiring and purposeful, equipping them for their future, whatever they choose to do.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated and enthusiastic team of teachers and support staff who care deeply about making our pupils’ time here enjoyable, valuable and memorable. All staff support our pupils by focusing on treating every child as an individual, finding what makes them tick and using those cues to encourage and motivate them.
As pupils progress through the Prep School, opportunities to develop leadership skills increase. In addition to in-class roles such as Form Captain, Eco Warrior and Library Monitor, there are whole-school responsibilities like Head Boy, Head Girl, Peer Mentors and the recently added Poet Laureate position.
Holme Grange is a community, and we care about providing a wealth of opportunities for children, parents and grandparents to be involved. School life includes sports fixtures, musical performance evenings, school plays and PAA events. These are special moments in our children’s lives and help to build character. Our strong relationship with parents stems from the communication links we work hard to establish.
