Qualifications
When choosing GCSE options, it’s important to consider which subjects will offer the greatest opportunity for success, reflecting strengths, interests and future career pathways. All of the courses offered require determination, dedication and enthusiasm.
We believe that a GCSE curriculum should be broad and balanced in order to keep open as many opportunities as possible. At Holme Grange, students will usually take 9 subjects at GCSE although every student will be advised on an individual basis.

After GCSE
A Holme Grange education helps pupils to “know themselves” better. Helping you decide on your child’s next steps after GCSE is something we invest time in. We work closely with parents to navigate the choices available and provide guidance for pupils which encompasses CV building, mentoring opportunities and regular talks from visiting external speakers. We host a 6th Form Fair every year to help families with their choice of future educational journey be that through A levels or a vocational route.
At any point in your child’s time at Holme Grange, you are welcome to meet with the Headteacher, Mrs Robinson, to discuss future options.
