Remembrance Service

9th Nov 2018

Friday 9th November 2018 the school gathered for a very poignant Remembrance Service by the flag pole and wartime panel. The whole school from Little Grange to Year 11 and staff attended to show their respect. We were also joined by Major Tom Hendriksen, who gave an address to the school.

The service started with a Guard of Honour and the choir singing ‘Keep the Homefires Burning.’ Eaton Grange students then did a reading and a poem.

Major Tom Hendriksen addressed the school on the meaning of remembrance and the significance this year with the centenary of WW1. This was followed by students playing Elgar’s Nimrod on violin while the Ambassadors plant poppies and Ella & Dabi with Mrs Robinson laid the school wreath.

The Last Post and the Reveille was played by Holme Grange pupils whilst the flag was lowered and raised, this preceded the 2 minute silence.

The pupils were a credit to themselves and the school.
