7 - 11 YEARS

Prep

We aim for academic excellence and strive to ensure that everyone, irrespective of ability, reaches their full potential. Pupils take part in a varied programme of events including study skills and Mind Mapping workshops. These activities help them to identify their own learning styles and also empower them to become self-directed learners.

The National Curriculum Framework forms the back bone of our subject based curriculum.  However we engage our learners with cross curricular topics.  Also we are fortunate to have specialist subject teachers even for a younger pupils.

Our TLC hub forms part of the outdoor learning curriculum and helps develop Teamwork, Leadership and Communication skills.

The School Day is flexible to fit in with your family life. Breakfast club is from 7.30am until 8.15am. The official Prep School Day is 8.30am until 4.15pm. After school study and activities start at 4.30pm up to 6.00pm.

Year 3

In the Prep School it soon becomes apparent that the opportunities are endless!

Transition into the Prep School is managed to ensure a seamless move. Children are given the opportunity in Year 2 to spend some time in the Y3 class during the summer term as part of the transition programme. Although we follow the national curriculum we enhance it to maximise the learning opportunities for our students.

We have two classes Beech and Sycamore.
