We are proud to announce another year of outstanding academic performance at Holme Grange School, with our Year 11 students excelling in both GCSEs and BTECs. This year, our students achieved a remarkable 95% overall pass rate, with 43% of all grades at the highest levels of academic achievement. These impressive results continue to place us above national averages and affirm our standing as a leading institution for personalised, high-quality education.
This year, our students performed tremendously in English and Maths, with a 93% pass rate in English and an impressive 96% in Maths. These results are a testament to the dedication and hard work of both our students and staff.
In the sciences, we achieved a 100% pass rate in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Among those, 72% of our Chemistry students, 78% of Physics students, and 50% of Biology students received Grades 7-9, placing them among the top performers. Language students also excelled, with 100% pass rates in French, German, and Spanish. Within these subjects, 83% of French students, 60% of Spanish students, and 25% of German students achieved Grades 7-9, demonstrating excellence across the board.
Creative arts and humanities were also a cause for celebration. All of our Music students received Distinction grades, while 33% of Drama students earned the top grades. In History, Geography, and Religious Studies, 57%, 37%, and 44% of students, respectively, secured Grades 7-9. In PE, we saw similar success, with 100% of students passing and 41% achieving the highest grades. Our Food GCSE students also achieved a 100% pass rate, with 39% of them reaching top marks. In Computer Science, 100% of students passed, and 39% achieved the highest grades.
Early achievements by students were equally impressive. A Year 9 student achieved a Grade 9 in Maths two years ahead of schedule, and two Year 10 students secured Grades 8 and 9 in Computer Science a year early. Year 10 students also earned Grade 9s in Turkish and French, while our Year 11 pupils achieved a 100% pass rate in Further Maths, with 56% receiving Grades 7-9.
While we are thrilled with the high percentage of top grades, we are equally proud of every student who has worked tirelessly, some overcoming significant challenges to achieve their personal best. These results underscore the belief that, with determination, self-belief, and the right attitude, all our students have the potential to excel.
