Friday 25th September offered up a beautiful sunny evening for the first Friends of Holme Grange (FoHG) community event of the new academic year with pupils, parents and staff coming together to enjoy a delicious BBQ and big screen entertainment on the field.
In addition to the billboard headliner, the movie ‘Back to the Future’, families were pleased to participate in the other entertainment. Spontaneous football games, the fun of the outdoor fitness equipment and the high-flying thrill of the trampolines, all added to the friendly atmosphere and friends of all ages caught up with one another after a busy start to the term. Some of our Year 7s even stayed around after their residential trip to Calshot returned, keen to join in the sociable vibe and try the burgers!
With burgers and hotdogs courtesy of our school catering team, Thomas Franks Ltd, popcorn by Berkshire Fountains, a FoHG sweet shop and bar run by parents and staff, and Sundown Cinema’s huge portable screen, it was a wonderful way for our school community to start the weekend. Thank you for everyone who helped make it such a success!
