The Digital World

At Holme Grange, pupils are prepared to thrive in an increasingly digital world through the development of confidence, creativity and responsibility from an early age. Technology is thoughtfully integrated throughout school life, supporting learning while helping children develop the skills needed for the future.

Digital Learning Across the School

Digital learning begins in Nursery, where children are introduced to technology through age-appropriate experiences as part of a broad and balanced curriculum. Alongside developing confidence with digital tools, pupils learn the importance of online safety, wellbeing and responsible technology use.

As pupils progress through the school, digital learning continues to deepen across a wide range of subjects. In Senior School, pupils study Computer Science to GCSE while developing skills in coding, computational thinking, problem-solving and digital creativity.

From Years 7 to 11, pupils are provided with their own device, enhancing collaboration, independent learning and personalised study both inside and beyond the classroom.

Digital Citizenship and Online Safety

Alongside technical knowledge, we place strong emphasis on digital citizenship. Pupils are encouraged to think critically about technology, data privacy and their online responsibilities, developing the confidence to navigate the digital world safely and thoughtfully.

Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology

We also teach pupils about the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence, helping them understand the opportunities and challenges of emerging technologies and their impact on society.
