Holme Grange has been buzzing with excitement as we celebrated British Science Week 2025! Pupils across the school embraced hands-on scientific exploration, with our Eaton Grange Academic Scholars taking centre stage.
Stepping into the role of teachers and mentors, our Year 9 Scholars delivered a series of dynamic, interactive sessions designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for science. From explosive coke-and-sand reactions to creating lava lamps, the experiments captivated and inspired pupils from across the school.
As part of their sessions, the scholars led lessons on gravity for Year 5 and 6 pupils, honing their own leadership and communication skills while encouraging teamwork and building younger pupils’ confidence.
This was more than a celebration of science – it was a powerful example of peer-led learning, with our scholars modelling enthusiasm, initiative and a passion for learning. A huge well done to all involved!
