A Curriculum That Encompasses The Whole Person
At Holme Grange we have developed the curriculum so it embraces everything we do and not just the subjects we teach. Holme Grange does not just want great qualifications for our pupils, we want experiences, personal growth and character development. Life at Holme Grange offers a wealth of experiences and opportunities.
When our pupils leave Holme Grange we want them to have had a wealth of experiences, acquired exceptional qualifications, developed great friendships and matured into exceptional characters. They will have the personal qualities and skills to ensure future success and the resilience to see things through.
The curriculum has been grounded in the latest available evidence about how pupils learn and it focuses, in particular, on building stretch for every individual learner, no matter their start point.
Holme Grange work with leading educational professionals and our staff are all involved with research. This ensures we are adopting best practice and latest thinking and our students benefit from this knowledge.
We also include parents with this approach. We have key speakers throughout the academic year talking to parents about specific parenting topics. We also run a parent conference biennially to help parents to navigate some very difficult topics.
