The Bronze Duke of Edinburgh group had their practice expedition last weekend around the area of Bradfield and Pangbourne. The group had to navigate their way across much of West Berkshire using just a map and compass. As well as walking, the group were responsible for cooking their own food by trangia and putting up their own tents. Although the group got a little lost on day one, they came together as a team and showed good map reading skills to reach their finish point. They will now start preparing for their assessed expedition in late September.
