The Reception classes had been looking at the different types and uses of buildings; they had also been learning how to build walls.
So, on a rather wet miserable Thursday morning, 21 very excited children climbed aboard two minibuses and set off for Legoland.
An educational session had been booked, which involved the children having to design and build model homes for people with different needs. They also had to design and make a garden ensuring that it would be safe for children to play in. This proved very popular and we were sent on our way with instructions to look out for homes and buildings, as we walked around Miniland and Lego City.
We managed to squeeze in a puppet show, a few rides and an ice cream, before 21 tired but happy children trudged back up the hill to board the minibuses back to school. |
