SPRING 2005

SuperSchools - Ben Brown

Every two years, Holme Grange participates in the national SuperSchools event. Through sponsorship, from their own exercise programme, pupils raise money for two causes. Firstly, to provide financial support for up and coming British athletes, hopefully to become Olympic Champions. Secondly, part of the sponsorship money goes to provide extra school facilities.

This year Ben Brown, Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist, capitivated pupils and staff alike with a spectacular gymnastic display. Tension mounted as he vaulted over an ever increasing number of willing volunteers, culminating in a SuperSchools record when the Deputy Head was press ganged into the arena as the ninth 'victim'!
