Following a very successful Harvest Festival at School, in the presence of Father John Connell the new rector at St Paul’s in Wokingham, the children of Year 8 took the produce down to WADE (Wokingham and District Elderly Association).
The parents of Holme Grange are always generous with their donations and the children can be seen handing over just a sample of the mountains of tins and packets, together with all the fresh produce that was donated.
Much of this food will be used to provide Christmas hampers for many of the elderly residents of Wokingham who are housebound. This hopefully will add a little bit of Christmas cheer.
After Year 8's exertions, refreshments were a welcome conclusion to the visit. |
