Changing the 'Guard' at Windsor Castle

Year 2's outing to Windsor Castle was full of excitement. We spent the whole day exploring the features of the Castle exterior, looked at the various swords and banners of the Knights of the Garter in St George's Chapel and toured the State Apartments.

The highlight of the day was trying on real armour during a talk in the Education Centre. We felt privileged to be the first school to this try our hands at this new 'heads in' experience at the Castle. Changing the Guard also proved popular with the children and the day provided much inspiration for their history lessons back at School.
